Quality, contemporary design and Italian cuisine by chef Sergio Herman

On the ground floor of a 1960s building in Antwerp’s shopping district is Le Pristine, the latest opening of Sergio Herman, one of our favourite chefs. A contemporary atmosphere, which invites you to enjoy food every day and to celebrate all that can happen around a table.

The high ceilings, exposed brick and original columns of the space coexist with new natural materials such as oak, stone and linens. A project in collaboration with the firm Verso, where quality and attention to detail are vital for both fashion and cuisine. It pays homage to craftsmanship and art by incorporating pieces from well-known Dutch designers. The lighting and the sculpture «Hacked Cheese», a blue punching bag made of large wheels of Parmesan, were designed by Frederik Molenschot for Le Pristine.

Italian cuisine influenced by the chef’s Zeeland origins. His dishes incorporate an innovative point of view while respecting the essence and tradition of authentic recipes. In addition to being exquisite, his dishes are presented in a refined and carefully selected manner on tableware designed by Sergio Herman for Serax.

We share the balance between tradition and innovation. The strive for excellence through attention to detail. The purpose of generating experiences and enhancing the value of the art of setting the table.
