An iconic Milanese café with more than a century of history
Caffè Baratti, founded in 1858, is one of the most emblematic cafés in Milan. It preserves the artisan tradition of Italian coffee and has become a symbol of quality and elegance in the city.
It has always been one of the favourite cafés of Italians and a meeting point for writers, designers and thinkers who have marked the cultural history of Milan. During the Belle Époque, it was the meeting place of artists and poets, such as Gabriele D’Annunzio (Italian poet, playwright and novelist) and Filippo Tommaso Marinetti (founder of Futurism). Years later, it became the refuge of figures from the world of fashion, such as Giorgio Armani and Gianni Versace.
Its interior maintains the traditional classic aesthetic, where marble countertops and wood-panelled walls are combined with warm and cosy lighting, where you can enjoy the authentic traditional Italian coffee that has been perfected over the years.
Caffè Baratti & Milano began its history by creating chocolates, pralines and pastries. Raising the art of patisserie with the same excellence as its coffee. Their creations are made with high quality ingredients and traditional Italian recipes, such as their exquisite Sicilian cannoli or their chocolate truffles. Each piece reflects tradition, sophistication and good taste.
We share the beauty of tradition and places that tell a story. The importance of quality and attention to detail.
