Located in Monteroni di Lecce, in the heart of Salento, Palazzo Edmondo is one of the homes that form part of Moroseta Homes, the residential project linked to Masseria Moroseta. It occupies a historic 19th-century palazzo that, after more than 100 years of abandonment, has been carefully reconverted while preserving its essence.
The intervention, developed by the studio of Luca Baldazzi, begins with a respectful restoration of the original architecture: vaulted ceilings in pietra leccese — a local limestone widely used in traditional architecture — and restored 16th-century doors coexist with solid walls and generous proportions that recall the noble past of the residence. The finishes — lime, stone, wood and natural textiles — share a neutral and luminous palette, combined with contemporary pieces, bespoke elements and local craftsmanship, creating a balance between tradition and modernity.
The house accommodates up to six guests and comprises three spacious suites, a living room and a kitchen. Outside, a pergola for al fresco dining, relaxation areas beneath ancient citrus trees and a swimming pool integrated alongside a historic colonnade complete the setting. The landscape design respects the existing vegetation and strengthens the connection between interior and exterior.
We share this way of recovering buildings with history, giving them new life while balancing respect for the past with the comfort of the present. The celebration of architecture, the luxury of space and the beauty of time passing.
