An international eminence in medicine and wellness
Cardiologist and Doctor of Medicine and Philosophy, Valentín Fuster (Barcelona, 1943) is internationally recognised as one of the most prestigious doctors, and one of our main personal references. He has an excellent track record for his work as a doctor, his contribution to medical research and his commitment to health education.
Based in the United States since the 1970s, he is currently director of Carlos III Cardiovascular Research Centre in Madrid and director of the Cardiovascular Institute at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. Named doctor honoris causa by more than 35 universities, he received the Prince of Asturias Award in 1996 for his research studies on the origin of myocardial infarction.
Valentín Fuster is committed to the promotion of research through education, supporting initiatives such as the International SHE Foundation (Sciencie, Health and Education) of which he is president. In the Spanish children’s series «Barrio Sésamo», Doctor Ruster was created inspired by him with the aim of sharing healthy habits.
For Valentín Fuster, education is a fundamental lever for change and for the integral improvement of people’s lives. In his conferences, he shares what he considers to be «8 keys to a better life», through 4 words beginning with T related to personal maturity (Time to reflect, Talent, Transmit positivity and Mentoring) and 4 words beginning with A that refer to how one presents oneself to the world (Positive attitude, Accept who you are, Authenticity and Altruism).
We share the effort to improve people’s lives, the significance of well-being and the importance of every detail.
