Traditional Italian cuisine on the banks of the River Thames
On the banks of the River Thames is this Italian-influenced restaurant based on simple cuisine.
Founded by Ruth Rogers (New York chef) and Rose Gray (British chef and writer) in 1987, located next to the studio of the architect Richard Rogers (architect and winner of the Pritzker Prize in 2007), who in 2008 renovated the restaurant due to a fire, transforming it into a modern and bright space.
In 1997 the restaurant won a Michelin Star, for its traditional recipes using high quality local ingredients and simple, delicious dishes.
The menu changes throughout the year with the different seasons. You can enjoy exquisite dishes such as panzotti (handmade pasta stuffed with cheese and butter) or their famous grilled squid, combined with delicious Italian wines.
The founders have written six cookbooks, featuring the restaurant’s own recipes, traditional recipes and Italian desserts. Their first book won the Glenfiddich Award (Food Book of the Year).
We share the beauty of tradition and places that tell a story. The importance of quality and attention to detail.
