A pub where to feel «at home»
Located in Maida Vale, in west London, The Hero reinterprets the concept of the English pub through a contemporary lens. The project brings together British hospitality, honest cooking, and a relaxed atmosphere that invites guests to linger.
The building is arranged like a house, with different spaces designed to accompany each moment of the day. On the ground floor, The Pub has a lively and welcoming atmosphere, serving traditional British food and draft beers. On the first floor, The Grill offers a more unhurried experience, with natural light and a serene atmosphere in which to savor exquisite grilled meats and fish. Finally, The Library, located on the third floor, is a cozy and playful space where guests can enjoy classic cocktails while listening to vinyl DJs who play on selected days of the week.
The kitchen focuses on dishes that highlight product and flavor: a short, changing, seasonal menu rooted in British classics. The texture of the walls, the reclaimed elements, and warm materials such as dark wood and textiles create a pleasant and comfortable setting, perfect for enjoying good company.
We share the way of understanding the table as a place for gathering. The importance of making guests feel “at home.” The passion for cooking and the commitment to local produce.
Un pub donde sentirse «como en casa»
Situado en Maida Vale, en el oeste de Londres, The Hero reinterpreta el concepto de pub inglés desde una mirada contemporánea. El proyecto combina hospitalidad británica, cocina honesta y una atmósfera relajada que invita a quedarse.
El edificio se organiza como una casa, con distintos espacios pensados para acompañar cada momento. En la planta baja, The Pub tiene un ambiente animado y cercano, donde sirven comida británica tradicional y cervezas de barril. En la primera planta, The Grill ofrece una experiencia más pausada, con luz natural y una atmósfera serena donde saborear de exquisitas carnes y pescados cocinados a la parrilla. Por último, The Library, situado en la tercera planta, es un espacio acogedor y divertido donde tomar cócteles clásicos y escuchar la música de los DJs de vinilo que van algunos días de la semana.
La cocina apuesta por platos que ponen en valor el producto y el sabor. Una carta corta, cambiante y estacional, con clásicos británicos. La textura de las paredes, los elementos recuperados y los materiales cálidos como la madera oscura y los textiles generan un ambiente agradable y confortable donde disfrutar de la buena compañía.
