Prada’s century-old patisserie in the heart of Milan
Tradition, history and savoir faire in the heart of the Italian heart of fashion. Tradition, history and savoir faire in the heart of Italy’s fashion capital. Contemporary but immune to fashions, Marchesi is one of the oldest and most renowned patisseries in the city. Famous for its Easter Colomba, its Panettone and its sweets, it is without doubt an inspiration for us this Easter.
The brand preserves its original shop, first opened in 1824 by the Marchesi family, in a beautiful 18th century building. After almost 200 years, it remains true to its traditional manufacturing principles: quality ingredients, technical excellence and attention to detail.
In addition to its historic shop in Santa Maria alla Porta, in recent years it has opened two other shops in Milan. One on Via Monte Napoleone and another in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, with access from the Prada boutique, whose group acquired the iconic pasticceria in 2014. Its latest opening in London’s Mayfair district brings you back to its authentic Milan boutiques. Marble, green velvet and antique furniture characterise its interiors and create a warm and sophisticated atmosphere.
We share a respect for tradition and artisan know-how. The excellence in the care of every detail. The beauty and warmth of the passage of time.
