Quality and tradition in an authentic fisherman’s tavern in Hondarribia
Under San Pedro Fishermen’s Guild, La Hermandad has been cooking traditional recipes with the best fresh fish since 1938. For us, a mandatory stop during our summers in San Sebastian.
Quality and tradition have been maintained for years. Recipes and customs, such as sharing a table with other diners, have been respected since then, preserving their essence. The dishes, prepared with care and excellent raw materials, are absolutely exquisite. Our favourites: hake, cocochas and, of course, fish soup.
Its well-known fish soup was named «the best in the world» by the Japanese airline magazine ANA (All Nippon Airways). The current owners claim that the secret of this recipe is simply that «it is made the way it has always been made, following the traditional recipe and using good fish».
We share the way of preserving the essence. The focus on the experience, on the excellence of the product and on the service. The value of things done in the old way.
Calidad y tradición en una auténtica taberna pesquera en Hondarribia
Bajo la Cofradía de Pescadores de San Pedro, La Hermandad lleva desde 1938 cocinando recetas de siempre con los mejores pescados frescos. Para nosotras, una parada siempre obligatoria durante los veranos que pasábamos allí.
Calidad y tradición se mantienen desde hace años. Recetas y costumbres, como compartir mesa con otros comensales, se respetan desde entonces conservando su esencia. Los platos, elaborados con mimo y una excelente materia prima, son absolutamente exquisitos. Nuestros favoritos: la merluza, las cocochas y, como no, la sopa de pescado.
Su conocida sopa de pescado fue bautizada como «la mejor del mundo» por la revista de las líneas aéreas japonesas ANA (All Nippon Airways). Sus actuales dueños afirman que el secreto de esta receta no es más que «se hace como toda la vida, siguiendo la receta tradicional y utilizando buenos pescados».
