An architectural icon on the coast of Lanzarote
Facing the Atlantic and surrounded by an incredible volcanic landscape is the Hotel Salinas. Designed in the 70’s by Fernando Higueras (renowned Spanish architect) who worked together with César Manrique (Spanish artist, painter, sculptor, landscape designer). They created a place where architecture and nature coexist in perfect harmony.
Inaugurated in 1977, the rounded volumes, white walls, volcanic stone and native vegetation blend in with the surroundings, framing and highlighting them. Each space breathes the essence of Lanzarote, highlighting the light, the natural materials and the connection with the exterior.
The hotel has 282 rooms, designed with natural materials and large openings from where you can enjoy views of the sea or the gardens. The interior courtyards, vaulted ceilings and irregularly shaped pools are reminiscent of the traditional architecture of the area and the spaces filled with vegetation are an unmistakable Higueras hallmark.

Un icono de la arquitectura en la costa de Lanzarote
Frente al Atlántico y rodeado de un increíble paisaje volcánico se encuentra el Hotel Salinas, diseñado en los años 70 por Fernando Higueras (reconocido arquitecto español) que trabajó junto a César Manrique (artista, pintor, escultor, paisajista español). Crearon un lugar donde arquitectura y naturaleza conviven en perfecta armonía.
Inaugurado en 1977, los volúmenes rotundos, los muros blancos, la piedra volcánica y la vegetación autóctona se funden con el entorno. Cada espacio respira la esencia de Lanzarote poniendo en valor la luz, los materiales naturales y la conexión con el exterior.
El hotel cuenta con 282 habitaciones, diseñadas con materiales naturales y con grandes aperturas desde donde se puede disfrutar de las vistas al mar o a los jardines. Los patios interiores, los techos abovedados y las piscinas de formas irregulares recuerdan a la arquitectura tradicional de la zona y los espacios repletos de vegetación, sello inconfundible de Higueras.
