The power of food as the engine that helps to improve the world
Driven by his principles and his passion, chef José Andrés has raised cooking to another level. The power of food as the engine that helps to improve the world. «Dish after dish we can find very simple solutions to big problems».
Considered one of the world’s 100 most influential people by Forbes magazine, the chef is a reference as a cook, as a businessman and as a person. This worldwide recognition is the result of his humanitarian work in the fight against hunger.
In addition to his restaurants in the United States, he dedicates his time, leads and directs the NGO World Central Kitchen, which he founded in 2010 after the earthquake in Haiti. His humanitarian missions know no borders. He himself and his team go to different parts of the world to, as he explains, «feed in tragedies at a time when people have lost everything».
The war in Ukraine is a reality, and through this post we want to highlight the enormous work of the Asturian born chef whom we have admired and followed for years.
We share the way in which we turn our work into an extension of the principles and values we believe in. The goal of improving people’s lives based on what we do best.
