A Franco-Italian café in NoHo where history and contemporary dining come together
Located in New York’s NoHo neighborhood, Raf’s is a café-restaurant that blends European tradition, a cosmopolitan atmosphere, and contemporary Franco-Italian cuisine. Opened in 2023, it occupies the historic space of the former Parisi Bakery, an Italian bakery with a coal-fired oven in operation since the early 20th century.
The intervention preserves the essence of the place and its history. The original oven remains the heart of the project. Moldings, high ceilings, dark wood, aged mirrors, and warm lighting create an atmosphere reminiscent of Parisian brasseries and cafés in northern Italy.
Owned and operated by sisters Nicole and Jennifer Vitagliano, the project features the culinary direction of chef Mary Attea and the pastry program led by Camari Mick. The space is organized around the main dining room—elegant and lively—and a visible bakery area, where bread and pastries are made daily. The menu brings together French and Italian classics—from fresh pastas to bistro-inspired dishes—alongside a carefully curated selection of European wines and classic cocktails. Raf’s functions as a morning café, a lunch and dinner restaurant, and a gathering place in the late afternoon.
We share the authenticity of spaces that tell a story. The beauty of the passage of time and the way their essence is preserved. The care for every detail and the passion for cooking.
