In the hills of Asturias, in the village of La Salgar, with the Picos de Europa in the skyline, you will find this familiar restaurant, a benchmark of Spanish gastronomy, where you can feel at home.
Casa Marcial, the original home of the Manzano family, started out as a small restaurant and local food shop in 1993. Today it has been reconverted into a restaurant with two Michelin Stars, maintaining the family essence, where Nacho Manzano (Michelin Star chef) and his sisters Esther (assistant chef), Sandra (metre) and Jesús (Esther’s son and cook) manage the restaurant.
You can enjoy two tasting menus or dishes from the carte. These seasonally change and evolve with the different seasons, prepared with seasonal ingredients from the area and from their own vegetable garden, combining traditional recipes with modern touches. You can enjoy dishes such as their exquisite serrano ham croquettes, clams with sofrito, rice with pitu or grilled endive. Accompanied by an extensive wine and cider list of different origins and essences, recommended by Juan Luis García (Casa Marcial sommelier).
We have been lucky enough to try one of their menus, which they send out in carefully selected boxes, a Christmas present from one of our clients.

En las montañas de Asturias, en la aldea La Salgar, con los Picos de Europa de fondo aparece este restaurante familiar referente de la gastronomía española, donde poder sentirse como en casa.
Casa Marcial, el antiguo hogar de la familia Manzano, nació como una pequeña casa de comidas y tienda de alimentos locales en 1993. Reconvirtiéndose hoy en día en un restaurante con dos Estrellas Michelín, manteniendo la esencia familiar, donde Nacho Manzano (chef Estrella Michelín), sus hermanas Esther (ayudante de chef) y Sandra (metre) y Jesús (hijo de Esther y cocinero) dirigen el restaurante.
Se puede disfrutar de dos menús degustación o platos de la carta. Estos cambian y evolucionan durante las diferentes estaciones, elaborados con alimentos de temporada de la zona y de su propio huerto, combinando recetas tradicionales con toques modernos. Pudiendo disfrutar de platos como sus exquisitas croquetas de jamón serrano, almejas con sofrito, arroz con pitu o la endibia a la brasa. Acompañados de una extensa carta de vinos y sidras de distintos orígenes y esencias, recomendados por Juan Luis García (sumiller de Casa Marcial).
Hemos tenido la suerte de probar uno de sus menús, que envían en cajas maravillosas, cuidadas con todo detalle, regalo de Navidad de uno de nuestros clientes.
Compartimos el esfuerzo por mantener lo auténtico, la combinación de pasado y presente. La puesta en valor de la tradición y el origen. La pasión por la cocina y la búsqueda de la excelencia.
