An authentic and refined place where to enjoy dolce vita

Just a step away from the ancient Greek theatre of Taormina, overlooking the splendid Bay of Naxos and the impressive volcano Etna, lies the Grand Hotel Timeo. An ancient 19th century villa surrounded by marvellous gardens, where to enjoy and relax in an authentic and refined atmosphere.

The ancient villa started as a five-room guesthouse run by the local Francesco. Today, after the annexation of the adjoining Villa Flora, the hotel offers 71 rooms. All of them are decorated in pastel colours, with a selection of antique pieces and the sea as the protagonist.

The spectacular gardens that surround it, occupying more than two hectares, predate the hotel itself. They were owned by Lady Florence Trevelyan, an English woman who was exiled to Taormina in the 19th century after a scandal at Queen Victoria’s court. The Floresta family acquired them in the early 20th century to incorporate them into the hotel. Restaurant, bar, spa and swimming pool, plus a shuttle to the private beach of sister hotel Villa Sant’Andrea, complete the unique experience at Grand Hotel Timeo.

We share the beauty of places that tell a story, the connection between nature and interiors. The attention to detail and the pursuit of well-being in every experience.
