Compuesta por los barrios Sassi considerados Patrimonio de la Humanidad y basados en cuevas naturales, Matera es una de las ciudades más antiguas del mundo. Una de ellas, una estructura abandonada del siglo XVII formada creando un patio, ha sido rehabilitada y reconvertida en un hotel especial y singular.
La piedra toba original se ha mantenido formando bóvedas, eliminando todas los añadidos que lo escondían. Una vuelta a lo autentico que deja a la vista su verdadera esencia inspirada en el espíritu wabi de Axel Vervoordt.
