A 20th century palatial house transformed into a comfortable and authentic home
In a Los Angeles neighbourhood at the foot of the Santa Monica Mountains stands this antique palace from the late 1990s, which has been transformed into a modern home with a classic, Tuscan-inspired style.
The renovation led by Timothy Corrigan and Ohara Davies-Gaetano, both interior designers, has maintained the original layout and some characteristic elements such as the high ceilings and arches.
The interiors are warm and welcoming thanks to the large windows from which you can enjoy the incredible views of the garden and the high light-coloured walls with art pieces such as the large painting by Fernando Botero (Colombian artist, painter and sculptor).
The rooms decorated with neutral-toned furnishings and fabrics feature antique pieces, such as the 18th century French fireplace in the living room, reclaimed furniture that retains its original flavour and large antique lamps.

Una casa palaciega del siglo XX transformada en un hogar confortable y auténtico
En un barrio de Los Ángeles a los pies de las montañas de Santa Mónica se encuentra este antiguo palacio de finales de los 90, que se ha transformado en un hogar moderno con un estilo clásico y de inspiración toscana.
La rehabilitación dirigida por Timothy Corrigan y Ohara Davies-Gaetano, ambos diseñadores de interiores, ha mantenido la distribución original y algunos elementos característicos como los altos techos y los arcos.
Sus interiores son cálidos, acogedores y luminosos gracias a sus grandes ventanales desde los que se pueden disfrutar de las increíbles vistas del jardín. Las grandes paredes de colores claros están decoradas con piezas de arte como el gran cuadro de Fernando Botero (artista, pintor y escultor colombiano).
Las habitaciones, decoradas con mobiliario y tejidos en tonos neutros, incluyen piezas antiguas, como la chimenea francesa del siglo XVIII del salón, muebles recuperados que mantienen su pátina original y grandes lámparas antiguas.
