Purl Soho

Our favourite craft store in New York Soho

We discovered Purlsoho in 2011. At that time we travelled a lot and the point was good entertainment to add to the long hours we spent in airports and on planes with reading and music.

On the way to Mariebelle, another of the special corners of the area, we saw a shop window full of colorful wools and some hand-woven hats. As we entered, we found a shop with an antique wooden floor, high ceilings and shelves arranged by color with thousands of wools, needles and all kinds of material for knitting, crochet… At the back a long table where they were finishing one of their face-to-face knitting classes.

The tent was set up by two sisters and a friend of theirs.
You can spend hours discovering wools from different corners of the world.
